Lady Raiders Finish Third, Set Records at Waynesfield-Goshen Invitational

The Benjamin Logan High School girls track and field team turned in a strong performance Friday night, finishing third overall at the Waynesfield-Goshen Invitational with 105 team points.

Despite rainy conditions, the Lady Raiders delivered multiple standout performances, highlighted by a record-breaking night from Abby Vance.

Vance set a new Benjamin Logan school record in the triple jump (35-00), while also establishing meet and stadium records in both the triple jump and long jump (17-07). She added a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash (12.80) and anchored the winning 4x100 relay team alongside Daylin Varner, Storm LeVan, and Scarlett Elliott.

Benjamin Logan also captured first-place finishes in the 4x800 relay (11:02.34) with Lucy Wenger, Elliott Butler, Peyton Smith, and Lottie Bodin, and in the discus, where Kaylee Hays recorded a personal-best throw of 111-00.

Additional top performances included:

• 4x100 relay – 1st place (53.66)
• 4x200 relay – 3rd place
• 4x400 relay – 3rd place
• Peyton Smith – 3rd in the 1600
• Molly Siefring – 4th in the 3200
• Madi Oakes – 5th in high jump

Coaches praised the team’s focus and effort in challenging weather conditions, noting continued improvement and multiple personal-best performances across events.

Benjamin Logan returns to action on Tuesday, April 28 at the Bellefontaine Quad Meet.
