Indian Lake Boys Claim Tiger Invite Title; Multiple Records Fall Despite Rain

The Indian Lake High School track and field teams powered through rainy conditions Friday night to deliver an impressive showing at the Tiger Invite at Waynesfield-Goshen, highlighted by a first-place finish from the boys team.

The Laker boys totaled 133 points to win the meet, finishing ahead of North Union (112) in a competitive 11-team field.

Leading the way was Aidan Stinebaugh, who set a school record in the triple jump (42-10)—a mark that also established a new meet record. He added a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash (53.05).

The Lakers saw multiple event winners, including:

• Christopher Timms – 1st in shot put (49-5.5), 4th in discus
• Gavin Henry – 1st in 110m hurdles (15.21), 2nd in 300m hurdles
• 4x400 relay team (Reisinger, Richardson, Henry, Holbrook) – 1st place

Indian Lake also had strong finishes across the board, including a runner-up finish in the 4x200 relay and multiple top-three finishes in sprints, relays, and field events.

On the girls side, the Lakers tied for fourth place with 73 points, led by a record-breaking performance from Addison Beck.

Beck set a new school record in the long jump (17-4.5), surpassing her previous mark, and dominated the meet with first-place finishes in the high jump, 100-meter dash, and 200-meter dash.

Additional highlights for the girls included:

• Laura Metzger – 3rd in the 3200
• 4x800 relay – 4th place
• Multiple top-five finishes in relays and field events

Despite challenging weather, both teams demonstrated depth, resilience, and strong individual performances.

Indian Lake returns to action with a busy week ahead, competing at Urbana on Wednesday, select events at Wayne on Thursday, and the Lima Shawnee Invitational on Friday.
