The young scouts planted tomatoes, peppers, onions, green beans, zucchini, and a wide range of pollinator-friendly flowers. Throughout the summer months, they will care for the garden and hope to harvest enough produce to make salsa together at the end of the season.
Troop Leader Lauren Ricker expressed her excitement about the collaboration. This partnership offers students a hands-on learning opportunity while promoting responsibility, teamwork, and care for the environment.
