Benjamin Logan Raiders Top Eaton 5–1 Behind Strong Pitching and Timely Hits

The Benjamin Logan Varsity Raiders delivered a strong all-around performance Wednesday night, defeating the Eaton Varsity Eagles 5–1 in a non-conference baseball matchup.

The Raiders set the tone early, scoring in the first inning on a double by Camden Spriggs that brought in a run. They

continued their offensive push in the second inning with help from a pair of walks by Carter Lyden and Spriggs, followed by an RBI single from Anthony Griffith.

Spriggs led the charge at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Griffith also contributed two hits, while the Raiders drew 10 walks as a team—highlighting their disciplined approach at the plate. Lyden, Cayden Brown, and Spriggs each worked two walks, keeping the pressure on Eaton’s pitchers throughout the game.

Eaton’s lone run came in the fourth inning via a solo home run by Gavin Winings, who also went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Benjamin Logan’s Bryden Morris earned the win on the mound, throwing five strong innings. The left-hander allowed just one hit and one run, while striking out nine and walking six. Jacob Hawley came in for relief and pitched two scoreless innings, striking out one and walking two without surrendering a hit.

Defensively, the Raiders turned one double play and kept Eaton in check throughout the contest.

The win reflects the Raiders’ strong team effort in all facets—pitching, hitting, patience at the plate, and solid defense.
