Benjamin Logan Middle School Track Teams Shine, Set Records at Mechanicsburg Invite

The Benjamin Logan Middle School track and field teams delivered a strong performance at the Mechanicsburg Mid-Season Invitational on April 24, highlighted by multiple top finishes and three new school records.

The Raider boys team placed third out of 20 teams, showcasing depth and strength across both track and field events. 

Among the top performances, Charlie Buffkin claimed first place in pole vault (9-00), while several relay teams and individuals earned podium finishes.

Two school records were set on the boys side:

• 4x800 Relay (Cayde Buck, Marshall Elliott, Quinn Kuba, Bentley Harrat) – 9:50.43
• 4x200 Relay (Stone Angles, Santiago Solano, Nevada Coleman, Carter Crumm) – 1:41.27

Additional highlights included a third-place finish from Carter Crumm in the 400 meters (58.34) and multiple top-five finishes across sprinting, distance, and field events.

The Lady Raiders also turned in a competitive performance, finishing fourth overall in a strong field of teams.

Leading the way was Pippa Zvansky, who captured first place in both the 800 meters (2:34.55) and 200m hurdles, setting a new school record in the hurdles with a time of 29.95.

The girls team added points through consistent finishes in relays and field events, including strong efforts in the long jump, pole vault, and hurdle events.

Coaches praised both teams for their effort, teamwork, and continued improvement as the season progresses, noting the significance of multiple record-breaking performances at this stage of the year.
