Benjamin Logan Middle School Track Teams Place 2nd at Bellefontaine Meet

The Benjamin Logan Middle School boys and girls track teams each earned 2nd place finishes in a competitive five-team meet hosted by Bellefontaine Middle School on Tuesday evening.
Boys Track Team Shines in Relay Events
The Raider boys tallied 46 points, securing multiple victories in relay events despite being edged out by Bellefontaine, which finished with 63 points.

First-place finishes included:
  • 4x100m Relay: Santiago Solano, Gabe Predmore, Ethan Tynan, Carrick Spriggs (51.34)
  • 4x200m Relay: Brayden Sims, Liam Brown, Colson Knight, Owen Marshall (2:00.44)
  • 4x400m Relay: Cayde Buck, Brock Bates, Ethan Tynan, Quinn Kuba (4:20.01)
  • 4x800m Relay: Karson McCoy, Cayde Buck, Owen Marshall, Quinn Kuba (11:13.03)
  • 800m Run: Quinn Kuba (2:31.47)
  • High Jump: Carrick Spriggs (5’4”)

Additional standout performances included second-place finishes by Predmore (400m) and Solano (200m hurdles), and top-4 finishes from Carrick Spriggs, Karson McCoy, Brock Bates, and Eli Carpenter in individual events.

Girls Track Team Narrowly Misses Top Spot
The Benjamin Logan girls team finished just two points shy of a meet victory, posting 55 points to Bellefontaine’s 57.

First-place finishes included:
  • 400m Dash: Jazmine McGue (1:11.27)
  • 800m & 1600m Runs: Paislee Rodenberger (2:59.59 and 6:39.14)
  • High Jump: Mica Coaty (4’04”)
  • Discus & Shot Put: Summer Cline (74’10” and 32’11”)

The team also earned several second and third-place finishes across relays and individual events from Adelina Ramsey, Sarah Miller, Addy Leonard, and others.

  3. Urbana – 32
  4. Jonathan Alder – 18
  5. Riverside – 4

Girls:
  1. Bellefontaine – 57
  2. Benjamin Logan – 55
  3. Urbana – 26
  4. Jonathan Alder – 15
  5. Riverside – 0

The Raiders continue to build momentum as they move further into the spring season, showing strong performances across all events.
