Benjamin Logan Middle School Track Teams Perform Strongly at Kenton Ridge Invitational

Benjamin Logan Middle School’s boys and girls track teams delivered impressive performances at the Kenton Ridge Middle School Invitational on Saturday, April 26.

The Benjamin Logan boys team placed 2nd out of 9 schools, earning 59 points. Top scorers included:

• 1st Place:
  • Liam Elsasser – Discus Throw (123’8”)
  • Carrick Spriggs – High Jump (5’0”)
• 2nd Place:
  • Karson McCoy, Cayde Buck, Owen Marshall, Quinn Kuba – 4x800m Relay (10:19.35)
  • Nevada Coleman – 400m Dash (1:02.79)
  • Quinn Kuba – 800m Run (2:24.72)
• 3rd Place:
  • 4x400m Relay Team (4:33.29)
  • Santiago Solano – 200m Dash (26.86)
  • Liam Elsasser – Shot Put (35’1”)

Other strong performances came from Santiago Solano, Cayde Buck, Karson McCoy, Nevada Coleman, Eli Carpenter, Liam Brown, and Carrick Spriggs in various events.

The Benjamin Logan girls team finished 4th out of 10 schools with 34 points. Highlights included:

• 1st Place:
  • Jazmine McGue – 400m Dash (1:09.78)
• 2nd Place:
  • Sarah Miller – 100m Hurdles (18.99)
  • Adelina Ramsey – 100m Dash (14.07)
• 3rd Place:
  • 4x200m Relay Team (2:05.42)
  • 4x400m Relay Team (5:16.27)
  • Sarah Miller – 200m Hurdles (34.67)

Additionally, strong efforts from Adelina Leonard and Mica Coaty helped the Raiders earn valuable points.

• Boys: 1st Springfield Shawnee (101), 2nd Benjamin Logan (59), 3rd Springfield Hayward (51)
• Girls: 1st Kenton Ridge (99), 2nd Springfield Shawnee (57), 3rd Springfield Northwestern (43), 4th Benjamin Logan (34)

Benjamin Logan’s teams, coached by Jamie Gill, Lance Predmore, Colleen Bodin, and Sheridon Storm, continue to build momentum as the season progresses.
