Benjamin Logan Middle School Track Teams Dominate Indian Lake Tri-Meet

Benjamin Logan Middle School’s track teams delivered strong performances at the Indian Lake Tri-Meet on Thursday, April 24th, with both the boys' and girls' teams capturing first place.

The Raider boys’ team claimed the top spot with 86.5 points, outpacing Urbana

(40.5 points) and Indian Lake (36 points). Key performances included Carrick Spriggs winning both the high jump (5'0") and long jump (16'5"), and Liam Elsasser taking first in the discus throw (112'11"). The Raiders also swept several relay events, showcasing their team depth and speed.

Other first-place finishes for the boys included:

• Santiago Solano in the 200m dash (27.39)
• Karson McCoy in the 800m run (2:37.70)
• Quinn Kuba in the 1600m run (5:51.00)
• Brock Bates in the 200m hurdles (30.80)

The boys’ relay teams—4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, and 4x800m—also secured first place finishes.

The Raider girls' team finished with a strong 59 points to top Urbana (53 points) and Indian Lake (40 points). Leading the way for the girls were Adelina Ramsey, who won the 100m dash (14.40), and Della Baker, who took first in the 200m dash (31.02). Paislee Rodenberger also had an impressive day, winning both the 800m (3:02.90) and 1600m (6:31.00) runs. Summer Cline secured first place in the shot put with a throw of 30'9".

The girls’ 4x400m relay team, featuring Marley Snoke, Jazmine McGue, Summer Cline, and Adelina Leonard, also brought home a first-place finish.

Both Raider squads demonstrated outstanding teamwork and athleticism, setting a high standard as they continue their spring season.
