Benjamin Logan Defeats Coldwater 5–3 Behind Strong Performance from Tinsman

​The Benjamin Logan High School varsity baseball team earned a 5–3 victory over Coldwater on Saturday, using a strong first inning and a complete-game performance on the mound to secure the win.

Coldwater struck first in the top of the opening inning, taking a 2–0 lead after a double by Schroer and an RBI groundout from Dues.

The Raiders responded quickly in the bottom half of the inning, putting together 

a three-run rally to take control. Tinsman doubled to drive in a run, and Gregg followed with a two-run single, giving Benjamin Logan a 3–2 advantage.

Tinsman led the way both offensively and on the mound. The right-hander pitched a complete game, allowing six hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings while striking out nine and walking one to earn the win.

At the plate, Tinsman also delivered a strong performance, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Gregg, Tinsman, and Hughes each recorded two hits for the Raiders.

Defensively, Benjamin Logan was sharp throughout the game, committing no errors. Spriggs anchored the defense with a team-high 10 plays.

Coldwater was led offensively by Howell, who went 2-for-3, while Schroer and Spriggs each recorded an RBI.

With the win, the Raiders continue to build momentum early in the season. Benjamin Logan will be back in action Tuesday on the road at Wapakoneta.
