Benjamin Logan Boys Bowling Opens New Season at Home Against Shawnee

The Benjamin Logan boys varsity bowling team officially launched its 2025–26 season at home this week, marking the beginning of a new era for the program after last year’s Division II State Championship run.

With four standout seniors graduated, Head Coach Barney Sullivan noted that this year’s squad is focused on rebuilding and gaining experience. Despite a strong effort, the Raiders fell to the Shawnee Braves, 2711–2599, in their season opener.

“This was definitely a learning experience,” Sullivan said. “We have a lot of new faces, and tonight helped show us where we can grow.”

Varsity Highlights

• Dylan Stewart led the Raiders with an impressive 244 and 200, finishing with a 444 series.
• Colton Klopfenstein followed with games of 205 and 174 for a 379 series.
• Jace Lyons remained steady, rolling 173 and 176 for a 349 series.
• Conner Chambers contributed games of 157 and 169 for a 326 series.
• Pierce Jenkins rounded out varsity scoring with 170 and 149, finishing with a 319 series.
  
  

In the Baker games, all four matches were tightly contested. Shawnee took the first three, but Benjamin Logan rallied to win the final game by enough pins to claim the overall Baker total. The varsity team moves to 0–1 on the season.

Junior Varsity Results
The JV Raiders earned a decisive 2048–880 victory, as Shawnee fielded only two JV bowlers.

Top performers included:

• Paxton Henry – 192 and 171 (363 series)
• Colt Brugler – 150 and 150 (300 series)
• Joe Meeker – 146 and 149 (295 series)
• Kaden Stevens – 162 and 130 (292 series)
• Brycen Chrencik – 112 and 101 (213 series)
  
  

JV Baker scores were 132, 160, 154, and 131, totaling 585. The JV squad starts the season 1–0.

The Raiders return to action Thursday at Southwest Bowl against Kenton Ridge, with the match beginning at 4 p.m.
