Baseball: Raiders Triumph Over Coldwater

The Benjamin Logan Varsity Raiders secured a 7-4 victory over Coldwater on Saturday, fueled by a strong offensive start. Camden Spriggs kicked off the scoring

with an RBI single in the first inning, followed by a triple from Bryden Morris in the second, extending the lead to 6-1.

Morris also delivered on the mound, allowing four hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings while striking out seven. Adam Tinsman earned the save, closing out the game. Offensively, Morris and Anthony Griffith each tallied two hits, while the team totaled ten on the day.

Coldwater’s Baylen Blockberger led his team with two RBIs and two hits, while Karsyn Homan contributed two stolen bases as Coldwater aggressively ran the base paths.

Benjamin Logan will host Wapakoneta on Tuesday for their next matchup.

Softball: Lady Raiders Fall to Celina

The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders battled hard but fell short in a 7-4 loss to Celina on Saturday. After Celina opened the scoring in the first, Rylan Norviel’s two-run double gave the Lady Raiders an early lead. However, Celina responded with six more runs, outpacing Benjamin Logan’s offense.

Lilly Kerns led the team with two hits, including a triple and an RBI, while Keeli Rostorfer also contributed two hits and an RBI. Norviel drove in two runs, with Skylar Miracle and Sidney Sallee each adding a hit.

Sallee and Adilynne Gregg split pitching duties, combining for eight strikeouts. Sallee took the loss after throwing two innings, while Gregg pitched five in relief.

The Lady Raiders will open conference play on Wednesday, April 2, with a road game against Bellefontaine. The JV teams will play first, followed by a 7 p.m. varsity start.
