Bellefontaine Falls to Kenton Ridge in CBC Matchup

The Bellefontaine Chieftains battled hard but came up short against the Kenton Ridge Cougars, falling 72-64 in a Central Buckeye Conference matchup on Friday night.

With the loss, Bellefontaine drops to 9-13 on the season, while Kenton Ridge improves to 10-11.

Varsity Highlights:

• Braylon Newcomb led the Chiefs with 23 points
• Jair Mundy added 16 points
• Grayson Lotts contributed 12 points

JV Game:
The Chieftains fought in a close game but fell 58-55.

• Sutton Daring & Spencer Stolly each scored 11 points
• Blake Loomis & AJ Conaway both added 10 points

Freshmen Game:
Bellefontaine came out on top with a 54-42 victory.

• Conner Horvath led with 18 points
• Reign St. Clair followed with 15 points
• Nolan Slayback added 10 points

The Chieftains now shift their focus to the postseason, opening tournament play against Bethel at Xenia High School on Saturday at 1:30 PM.
