Bellefontaine Chieftains Secure Gritty Victory Over Tecumseh

The Bellefontaine Chieftains battled their way to a 59-55 victory over Tecumseh in a tough Central Buckeye Conference (CBC) matchup on Friday night. The win pushes Bellefontaine to 9-8 on the season, while Tecumseh falls to 7-10.

Bellefontaine’s offense was led by Braylon Newcomb, who delivered an impressive 23 points, followed closely by Jair Mundy with 20 points. CJ Butler also made a key impact, adding 9 points to help seal the win. Tecumseh’s Chase Stafford led all

scorers with 29 points, keeping the Arrows in contention throughout the game.

In junior varsity action, the Chieftains fell to Tecumseh 55-47 despite strong performances from Sutton Daring (16 points) and Spencer Stolly (11 points). The freshman squad also suffered a 45-31 loss, with Tyler Rossey leading the team with 11 points.

The Chieftains will look to keep the momentum going when they hit the road Tuesday night to face Vandalia Butler in a non-league matchup.
