Bellefontaine Chieftains Battle London in Close CBC Matchup

The Bellefontaine Chieftains fought hard but came up short against the London Red Raiders on Tuesday night, falling 52-47 in a competitive Central Buckeye Conference matchup.

With the loss, the Chieftains drop to 9-12 on the season, while London improves to 12-7. Leading the way for Bellefontaine, Jacob Salyer put up 18 points, with Jair Mundy contributing 16 points in the effort.

In the junior varsity game, Bellefontaine

narrowly lost 43-42. Sutton Daring led the JV squad with 19 points, while AJ Conaway added 10 points.

The freshmen team delivered a strong performance, securing a 64-43 victory over London. Reign St. Clair led with 14 points, followed by Sam Jenkins and Tyler Rossey with 13 points each, and Nolan Slayer with 11 points.

The Chieftains will look to bounce back on Friday night as they hit the road to face Kenton Ridge in another CBC showdown.
