The Benjamin Logan High School girls track and field team turned in a strong overall performance Tuesday night, finishing second at the Bellefontaine 5-team meet with 112 points.

Competing in ideal spring conditions, the Lady Raiders showcased depth across both running and field events while using the meet as an opportunity to refine lineups ahead of postseason competition.

Leading the way were multiple first-place 

Students from Benjamin Logan High School delivered an impressive performance at the 2026 Area IV Envirothon, earning a second-place overall finish and securing a spot at the upcoming Ohio Envirothon State Competition.

The event, held April 28 at the Preble County Historical Society, featured teams 

Bellefontaine Intermediate School has recognized its Students of the Week for April 27, celebrating students who consistently demonstrate positive behavior and a strong commitment to learning.

This week’s honorees include Makenna Wilson, Pierce Kinchen, Arya Brock, and Lincoln Manns. Savanna Holt and Dori Jervis were also selected but are not pictured.

The Indian Lake High School track and field teams powered through rainy conditions Friday night to deliver an impressive showing at the Tiger Invite at Waynesfield-Goshen, highlighted by a first-place finish from the boys team.

The Laker boys totaled 133 points to win the meet, finishing ahead of North Union (112) in a competitive 11-team field.

The Benjamin Logan Middle School track and field teams delivered a strong performance at the Mechanicsburg Mid-Season Invitational on April 24, highlighted by multiple top finishes and three new school records.

The Raider boys team placed third out of 20 teams, showcasing depth and strength across both track and field events. 

Among the top performances, Charlie Buffkin claimed first place in pole vault (9-00), while several relay teams and individuals earned podium finishes.

The Benjamin Logan High School baseball teams split their matchups with Tecumseh on Friday, as the varsity squad delivered a dominant win while the junior varsity team came up short after building an early lead.

The varsity Raiders rolled to a 13–3 victory, fueled by a standout performance from Brown, who drove in five runs on three hits. Brown delivered key hits throughout the game, including a bases-clearing double in the second inning and a two-run single during a big sixth inning rally.

The Benjamin Logan High School baseball teams earned a convincing sweep over Shawnee on Thursday, with the varsity squad rolling to a run-rule victory and the junior varsity team following with a strong all-around performance.

The varsity Raiders defeated Shawnee 12–2, powered by a big day from Tinsman, who drove in four runs on three hits. He delivered RBI hits in the second, third, and fifth innings to lead the offensive surge.
