Benjamin Logan High School Releases Second Grading Period Merit and Honor Rolls

​Benjamin Logan High School has announced its Merit Roll and Honor Roll for the second grading period of the school year, recognizing students for strong academic achievement.

​Students earning placement on the Merit Roll achieved a 4.0 GPA, while those named to the Honor Roll earned a 3.2 GPA or higher during the grading period. The lists reflect students’ dedication to their coursework and consistent academic effort throughout the quarter.

Benjamin Logan Girls Wrestling Celebrates Seniors, Earns Win in Home Tri-Meet

The Benjamin Logan Girls Wrestling team competed at home Tuesday night in a tri-meet that doubled as Senior Night, celebrating the contributions of the program’s senior athletes.

Despite forfeits in nine of the 14 weight classes, the Lady Raiders battled hard, falling to River Valley by a score of 30–21 before earning a 30–24 victory over North Union.

​The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders picked up a pair of strong victories on Thursday night, earning wins at both the junior varsity and varsity levels against the Elgin Comets.

BL Boys Bowling Team Falls Short at Springfield Shawnee

​The Raiders traveled to Victory Lanes to take on the Braves and unfortunately came up short.  The final score was 2677 for the Raiders and 2876 for the Braves. Tuesday night’s loss drops the Raiders record to 7-7.

​Top performers for Varsity:
  • Colton Klopfenstein fired consistent games of 202 and 197 for a 399 series.

  • Jace Lyons also rolled consistent games of 189 and 204 for a 393 series.
  • Wyatt LeVan threw games of 168 and 200 for a 368 series.
  • Paxton Henry added games of 187 and 173 for a 360 series.
  • Conner Chambers chipped in games of 193 and 158 for a 351 series.

In the Baker games the Raiders split with the Braves, 2-2.  Wyatt LeVan and Jace Lyons bowled lights out for Benjamin Logan in the 4 games.

In JV action, the Raiders improved their record to 11-2 with a total pinfall of 2210 to 1389, due to Shawnee not fielding a full JV squad.

Leading the JV Raiders:
  • Taydin Miller rolled games of 191 and 148 for a 339 series.
  • Kayden Stevens fired games of 167 and 150 for a 317 series.
  • Joe Meeker chipped games of 147 and 137 for a 284 series.
  • Pierce Jenkins threw games of 157 and 125 for a 282 series.
  • Brycen Chrencik added games of 131 and 127 for a 258 series.

The JVs took 3 out of 4 Baker games from the Braves with impressive bowling from Brycen Chrencik and Pierce Jenkins.
​
The Raiders return home this Friday with a non-league match against the Fort Loramie Redskins starting at 5:00.   Come on out and support the Raiders.

Raiders Fall to Northwestern; JV Earns Convincing Win

The Benjamin Logan Raiders traveled to Northwestern on Tuesday night and came up short, falling 53–42 in varsity action. The Raiders put together a strong defensive effort but struggled to find consistency on the offensive end.

Bellefontaine Earns Road CBC Win at London

The Bellefontaine Chieftains picked up a hard-fought Central Buckeye Conference road victory on Tuesday night, defeating the London Red Raiders 59–48 in London. With the win, Bellefontaine improves to 8–8 on the season.

Three Chieftains scored in double figures to lead the way. Jair Mundy paced Bellefontaine with 17 points and four assists, while Grayson Lotts added 14 points and four assists. Patrick Stolly recorded a strong double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Lady Raiders Bowling Earns Road Win at Springfield Shawnee

The Benjamin Logan Varsity Lady Raiders Bowling Team picked up a strong road victory Tuesday night at Victory Lanes, defeating Springfield Shawnee by a final score of 2,253 to 2,066.

Maddy Hamm led the Raiders with an outstanding performance, rolling games of 178 and 254, setting a new personal high game and finishing with a new high series of 432. Aubrey Zedlitz followed with games of 183 and 212 for a 395 series, while Kaelyn Corwin added a solid 159 game to help secure the win.

Lady Raiders Bowling Finishes Fifth at King’s Classic

The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders Bowling Team competed Monday at the King’s Classic at TP Lanes, finishing 5th out of 11 teams in a competitive field.

Aubrey Zedlitz led the Raiders with games of 170, 173, and 196 for a 539 series, earning a 7th-place finish on the All-Tournament Team. Kaely Corwin followed closely with games of 192, 134, and 196 for a 522 series, while Maddy Hamm added a strong 169 game to round out the scoring effort.
​
The Lady Raiders return to action on Tuesday at Victory Lanes, hosting Shawnee in a varsity-only match beginning at 4:00 p.m.
