Mac-A-Cheek Castle as a backdrop to explore the strategies and daily experiences of American GIs, German troops, and the French resistance. Historical reenactors will engage guests with demonstrations and educational discussions, bringing the realities of wartime Europe vividly to life.
Originally scheduled for last fall and canceled due to severe weather, the event is free to attend outdoors. Regular admission applies for those wishing to tour the interior of Mac-A-Cheek Castle, located at 10051 Township Road 47, just one mile east of West Liberty. The event is sponsored by the Mac-A-Cheek Foundation for the Humanities, with support from Coverlink Insurance and the Mary Eleanor Morris Fund of the Columbus Foundation.
