West Liberty Prepares for a Magical Evening at the 2025 Christmas Tour of Homes

​West Liberty is getting ready to shine once again as the West Liberty Business Association hosts the much-loved Christmas Tour of Homes on Saturday, December 6, from 4–7 p.m. This year’s tour features ten beautifully decorated stops—five within the village and five in the surrounding countryside—offering guests a festive evening filled with small-town charm, holiday history, and warm community spirit.

Tickets & Parking
Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased:

• In advance at Town Hall, 201 N. Detroit St.
• Online via Eventbrite
• Day-of at Town Hall or at the Yoder or Smith homes
  
  

Eventbrite ticket-holders will still need to pick up their physical ticket at Town Hall before starting the tour.

Street parking and church parking lots will be available throughout the village.

This year’s Tour of Homes is packed with unique stops—historic homes, family farms, modern renovations, and charming Airbnbs—each decorated for the season and ready to welcome visitors.

2025 Tour Stops Include:

1. Josh & Chrissy Yoder Home – 2071 Sinkhole Rd
A cozy farmhouse owned by the family behind Yoder Grain Farms and The Little White Farmhouse Flowers, featuring original hardwood floors, family heirlooms, and collections of Native American and farm artifacts.

2. West Liberty Town Hall & Opera House – 201 N. Detroit St
A beautifully restored community landmark. Guests may visit for ticket pickup, tour the Opera House, warm up, or board the horse-drawn carriage rides operated by All-Win Stables.

3. Marc & Molly Smith Home – 9048 CR 47
A spacious and newly renovated home perfect for indoor-outdoor family gatherings. The owners cherish their fireplace in winter and their patio in summer—holiday decorating is a beloved family tradition.

4. Jim & Debbie Etherton Home – 319 W. Columbus St
A late-1800s home with deep local history, once believed to be built by a Piatt sister and later used as a parsonage. The Ethertons enjoy their handcrafted kitchen and newly remodeled bathroom.

5. Big Cozy Spot Airbnb – 138 W. Baird St
A family-friendly short-term rental sleeping up to eight guests, featuring two living areas and a furnished patio.

6. Ginger’s Retreat LLC Airbnb – 117 E. Columbus St
A saltbox-style historic home lovingly restored by Neal and Cilla Hillard. Warm, traditional décor and a guest-favorite soaking tub make this Airbnb a peaceful village escape.

7. The Headings Home – 120 E. Newell St
A quaint home filled with decades of memories. Judy Headings’ favorite place is the five-window kitchen bay where she watches birds and squirrels. A fun snowman-themed contest awaits guests at this stop.

8. Mt. Tabor Church – 2427 SR 245, Cable
An 1881 church listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Stunning stained-glass windows, an original interior, and hillside views make this a breathtaking stop on the tour.

9. Off Track Retreat LLC Airbnb – 2495 SR 245, Cable
A fully restored caboose transformed into a one-of-a-kind short-term rental. With an elevated reading nook, gorgeous countryside views, and a cozy hot tub, it’s a truly unforgettable experience.

10. The Woods at Woodland Golf Club – 4900 Swisher Rd, Cable
A serene restaurant overlooking the course, offering farm-fresh dishes crafted by Chef Jason. Open Thursday–Saturday from 5–9 p.m., it’s the perfect place to end the evening.
