West Liberty Historical Society to Spotlight Early 20th-Century Touring Entertainment at June Program

Step back in time and explore the golden era of traveling entertainment at the next West Liberty Historical Society program, set for Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the second-floor Opera House of Town Hall, located at 201 N Detroit Street in downtown West Liberty.

This month’s program, “The Kinsey Komedy Kompany: Touring Groups at the Opera House,” will highlight the theatrical charm and cultural impact of traveling performance troupes that brought laughter, music, and drama to small-town America in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Attendees will gain insight into how these acts shaped local entertainment before the rise of film and radio.
