In collaboration with three of Logan County’s funeral directors, the ceremony included heartfelt readings of names and poems. For each name read, Universal’s staff lit a candle in the individual’s memory, symbolizing the enduring light their lives brought to others. Adding to the evening’s warmth, the Grace Notes provided beautiful music that resonated with attendees. First Christian Church has been a gracious host for this special event, with members of the congregation expressing their gratitude for the meaningful gathering. "Thank you to Universal Home Health and Hospice, our community funeral directors, and the Grace Notes for a lovely and comforting memorial service this evening," the church shared.
Cathy Wallace, a community member in attendance, remarked, “This is such a beautiful service! Thank you all for sharing our loved ones' names and caring about those of us that are left.” The annual Hospice Memorial Service continues to be a poignant reminder of the importance of community, connection, and remembrance in times of loss.
