Ronald McDonald House Charities Dayton to Host Inaugural Kids and Clays Classic in Bellefontaine

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Dayton is proud to announce its first-ever Kids and Clays Classic, a new fundraising event set to take place Friday, June 6, 2025, at Mad River Sportsman’s Club in Bellefontaine. Presented by Danis, the event promises a day of sporting clays, camaraderie, great food, and community

spirit—all in support of families with children receiving critical medical care in area hospitals.

​Open to participants of all experience levels, the event will begin with check-in at 8:30 a.m., followed by a safety briefing and the start of the tournament at 10:00 a.m. All equipment and safety instructions will be provided, making this an accessible and enjoyable experience for beginners and seasoned shooters alike.

“We’re thrilled to welcome our community to this new event that combines the joy of the outdoors with the power of giving back,” said Rita Cyr, Executive Director of RMHC Dayton. “Whether you’ve been shooting clays for years or it’s your first time, this is a great chance to team up with friends, family, or coworkers, enjoy some friendly competition, and make a real difference for families in our community.”

The Kids and Clays Classic is hosted in partnership with Kids & Clays, a national organization supporting RMHC chapters through sporting clays fundraisers. Since its launch in 1999, Kids & Clays has raised more than $18 million to support RMHC programs nationwide.

Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are available, and all proceeds from the event will benefit RMHC Dayton’s mission to keep families close during times of medical crisis by providing housing, meals, and support services.
