Ohio Caverns, nestled in the heart of West Liberty, Ohio, has been a cherished natural wonder since its discovery in 1897. Recently honored as the West Liberty Business Association's "Business of the Month" for May 2025, this iconic attraction continues to captivate visitors with its rich history, stunning geology, and unwavering community spirit.

As the largest cavern system in Ohio, Ohio Caverns offers a year-round, 54-degree underground experience that showcases vibrant calcite formations and the renowned "Crystal King," a nearly 5-foot-long, 400-pound calcite crystal estimated to be over 200,000 years old.

The caverns are open daily, with extended hours during the summer months, and feature a variety of guided tours, including the Natural Wonder, Historic, and Limestone Tours, catering to visitors of all ages.

Beyond the caverns, visitors can enjoy a 35-acre park featuring picnic areas, playgrounds, and gem mining activities. The gift shop offers an extensive collection of semi-precious stones, including amethyst and pyrite, some sourced from as far as Brazil, making it one of the largest selections in the state.

Ohio Caverns' commitment to sustainability is evident through its solar energy initiatives, which offset approximately 100% of the cavern's annual energy usage, aligning with their dedication to environmental stewardship.
