I am confident they will bring our already magnificent team to the next level of pediatric patient care.” Dr. Jmal Alhaj has come to Mary Rutan Health from Brooklyn, New York, where he completed a pediatric residency at SUNY Downstate Health Science Center. He recently relocated to Bellefontaine with his wife and three young children and is excited to learn more about Logan County and all it has to offer. With a passion for general pediatrics, he is excited to start seeing patients in Bellefontaine. Michelle Katterheinrich, EdD, MSN, APRN, is a lifelong Ohio resident. She spent more than 25 years as a registered nurse and was an associate professor of nursing for Ball State University and Indiana-Purdue Ft. Wayne University Schools. She graduated with her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2015. Since then, she has dedicated her career to caring for those in her community. Michelle is excited to join Mary Rutan Pediatrics, where she will provide comprehensive pediatric primary care to infants, children and teenagers. Dr. Alhaj and Michelle Katterheinrich, APRN-CNP, will see patients at the state-of-the-art Goble Center for Women and Children located at 118 Dowell Avenue in Bellefontaine.
