The Logan County Visitors Bureau is excited to announce the return of a summer favorite: the 5th Annual Logan County Ice Cream Trail, back and bigger than ever with 13 stops across the county serving up sweet treats all season long.

“The Ice Cream Trail has become a summer tradition for so many families,” said Anna Louden, Director of the Logan County Visitors Bureau. “It’s a fun and simple way to explore Logan County while supporting our local ice cream shops.”
From now through the end of September, you can pick up a free Ice Cream Trail passport at any of the 13 participating locations or the Logan County Visitors Bureau office (100 S. Main St, Bellefontaine). Then, start your journey by visiting the shops, getting your passport stamped, and discovering the variety of frozen desserts that make Logan County a delicious destination.

“There’s something special at each stop from hand-dipped scoops to soft serve cones, floats, sundaes, and more,” said Louden. “Each business puts its own spin on what makes a perfect summer treat.”

Passports don’t require a purchase to be stamped, but visitors are encouraged to try a treat at each location. Once you’ve collected all 13 stamps, return your completed passport to the Visitors Bureau to claim a special prize. If the office is closed when you arrive, just write your name and address on the back and drop it off. We’ll follow up with your reward.

Can’t get a stamp because a location is closed? No problem. Just snap a photo of the storefront and we’ll count it.

While you’re out exploring the trail, share your photos on social media using #LOCOicecreamtrail and #LOCOfun. You may even be featured on the Logan County Visitors Bureau’s social media pages.

Participating Locations:
  • Shakes at the Lake (Indian Lake)
  • Whit’s Frozen Custard (Bellefontaine)
  • The Donut Shop (Russells Point)
  • City Sweets & Creamery (Bellefontaine)
  • Town Trolley (Huntsville)
