Logan County Summer Ice Cream Trail

I scream! You scream! We all scream for ice cream! At least, most will be screaming for ice cream after learning about the latest event happening in Logan County.

Do you know a better way to kick off the summer season than with a refreshing, delicious scoop of ice cream? How about 13 scoops of ice cream? The Logan County Visitor’s Bureau is excited to share with you that the Ice Cream Trail is back! If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this is the ultimate solution.
Here’s everything you need to know:

You and your family (and friends!) are invited to join in on the fourth annual Ice Cream Trail, featuring 13 different ice cream spots nestled throughout beautiful Logan County. Once you receive a passport, you and your party can go from destination to destination, collecting stamps on that passport and scoops in your belly! Sound good? The Ice Cream Trail will run through the end of September, so there’s plenty of time to participate.

You can conveniently pick up a passport at any of the 13 ice cream locations (listed below), as well as the Logan County Visitors Bureau—whichever is best for you. Next, you’ll want to visit the ice cream shops and ask to get your passport stamped. It’s not required for you to purchase anything, but you are encouraged to try something as each place will offer a unique, yummy treat from the rest.

Only after you’ve collected a stamp from all of the 13 spaces can you bring your passport to the Logan County Visitors Bureau office to claim your special prize. The Logan County Visitors Bureau office can be found at:
100 S Main St
Bellefontaine, OH 43311

If you stop by an ice cream store and it’s closed, meaning you can’t get your passport stamped, simply take a photo of the building. Doing so will suffice and count toward your collection of stamps. Though, please attempt to go during business hours. If the Logan County Visitors Bureau office is closed when you go to drop off your passport, provide your name and address on the back of the document. We will then contact you about your prize.

“Each year the trail just keeps getting bigger and bigger with more participation from all around the state,” said Anna Louden, Logan County Visitors Bureau director.

Of course, the only rule of the Ice Cream Trail is that you have fun—lots and lots of fun! However, we do hope that while you’re enjoying your adventures, you take photos and uploaded them to social media. If you do this, make sure to use hashtags #LOCOfun and #LOCOicecreamtrail for a chance to be featured on the Logan County Visitors Bureau page.

Now, for the part you’ve all been waiting for . . . the list of locations, and in no particular order:
  1. Shakes at the Lake (Indian Lake)
  2. Whit’s (Bellefontaine)
  3. The Donut Shop (Russells Point)
