Neighbor to Neighbor would offer services such as light housekeeping, errands, social visits, yard work, transportation, grocery pickup, minor home repairs, and basic technology help. Volunteers would be vetted and trained, ensuring safe and reliable assistance for members.
Membership would cost $20 per month for Logan County residents aged 60 and older, covering background checks and liability insurance. Services would be provided by volunteers—not medical professionals—making the program ideal for seniors who need occasional help but not full-time care. The program will not begin collecting membership fees until enough volunteers are in place. Those interested in volunteering or becoming a member can leave their name and phone number at 937-593-9406. This initiative is being led by members of the Logan County Seniors Team, including representatives from Lutheran Community Services, Otterbein Green Hills, Mary Rutan Hospital, Bridges Community Action Partnership, Logan County Job & Family Services, LifeCare Alliance, and United Way of Logan County.
