To make our local students aware of these exceptional manufacturing opportunities, the schools, manufacturers, and the Logan County Chamber host a Manufacturing Day event annually during the month of October. Schools participate each year with the 2024 group including 25-30 juniors and seniors each from: Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, Ohio Hi-Point and Riverside High Schools. The event will be held on October 10th with students visiting DMG Tool & Die, EWH Spectrum, Honda PRO Center, NX Automotive Logistics, and POWERBUILT.
The goal of Manufacturing Day is for students to get firsthand exposure to manufacturers to learn they are not the stereotyped factories of the past but rather high-tech, clean, and innovative workplaces. Experiencing in person the positive products, careers, and impact our local manufacturers provide is essential to support the growing manufacturing base in our community. The Midwest Regional Educational Service Center organizes the event in conjunction with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce. Not receiving our content regularly?
