Logan County Gardeners Invited to Kick Off New Gardening Series with OSU Extension

​Spring has officially arrived, and so has a new opportunity to get your hands dirty and your garden growing! The Ohio State University Extension – Logan County invites local gardeners to attend Part 1 of their brand-new Garden Objectives Series on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

Hosted at the OSU Extension Office located at 1100 S. Detroit Street, Bellefontaine, this free and no-registration-required event will cover the fundamentals of “Beginning a Bed.” Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a total beginner, this workshop promises

to equip attendees with the inspiration and information they need to start a successful garden.

​Topics will include:

• Prepping your garden beds
• Choosing the right tools and plants
• Setting goals for your gardening season

Participants will walk away ready to start their gardens with confidence—and maybe a bit of soil under their nails.

This session marks Part 1 of a 4-part series designed to help Logan County residents develop their gardening skills throughout the growing season. More details on upcoming sessions will be released soon.
