Logan County Fairgrounds to Host "LoCo Spooktacular" No Frills Horse Show

The Logan County Fairgrounds will host the "LoCo Spooktacular" No Frills Horse Show on Sunday, October 13, 2024. This fun-filled and competitive horse show will take place at the newly-renovated arena at the fairgrounds, located at 301 E. Lake Ave., Bellefontaine, OH 43311.

The show is open to riders of all ages and skill levels, with a variety of classes offered, including Halter, Showmanship, English, Western, Ranch, Barrels, Down & Back, and Poles. There will also be several exciting jackpot classes with a payback structure that rewards top competitors. Youth riders, adults, and enthusiasts are encouraged to participate.

Schedule:

• Open Arena: 8:00 AM
• Drag: 8:30 AM
• Show Start Time: 9:00 AM

Participants can look forward to a diverse lineup of classes, such as Halter, Showmanship, Walk/Trot, English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Ranch Pleasure, and more. Don’t miss the opportunity to join in the fun with thrilling jackpot events like Barrels, Poles, and Down & Back. The first-place winner receives 25% of the jackpot, second-place receives 15%, and third-place takes home 10%.

Entry Fees:

• Youth Classes: $5 per class
• Open Classes: $7 per class
• Jackpot Classes: $10 per class

Additional fees include a $5 per horse grounds fee and a $3 per horse office fee. Spectators are welcome to attend and enjoy the action.

Rules:

• Show clothes are not required; riders may wear shirts, jeans, and boots.
• All cross-entering with WT and WTC classes is allowed.
• Helmets are required for all riders aged 18 and under.
• No stallions permitted.
• Horses must be clean and have brushed manes and tails.

The Logan County 4-H Horse Council, Logan County Ag Society, and other affiliates are not responsible for any lost or stolen items, damages, injuries, or death to horses, riders, or spectators.

In addition to the horse show, Smokin' Bandits food truck will be on-site to serve delicious meals to participants and guests.
