Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities Enhances Accessibility for Local Businesses

Every day, individuals with developmental disabilities face challenges accessing facilities and services, often limiting their ability to participate fully in their communities. In an effort to break down these barriers, the Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities (LCBDD) has partnered with local businesses to make inclusivity a priority.

Through one-time ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) grant funds distributed by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, LCBDD has helped three area businesses—Homegrown Yoga, The Gathering Grounds, and Buckeye at the Lake—enhance their facilities to be more accessible.

This project demonstrates LCBDD’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive Logan County and creating an Ohio where every citizen’s contributions are valued and recognized. By working with local businesses, LCBDD is helping to open doors, both figuratively and literally, for people with developmental disabilities.
