Indian Lake Historical Society to Host Presentation on Our Lady of Fatima Shrine

The Indian Lake Historical Society will host a special historical presentation focused on the history of the Our Lady of Fatima Shrine on Monday, June 22, at 7:00 p.m. at Galilee Lutheran Church in Russells Point.

The meeting will take place at the church, located at 301 Lincoln Boulevard, and is open to the public.

Featured speaker Vanessa Damschroder 

of the Quatman family will share the story behind the shrine, commonly known as the “Lady of the Lake,” which has served as a landmark and place of reflection in the Indian Lake community for nearly 60 years.

​Attendees will learn about the inspiration behind the shrine, its significance to the region, and upcoming celebrations planned for the dedication of the new shrine.

Organizers encourage community members interested in local history and the heritage of Indian Lake to attend the presentation.
