completed their high school careers during commencement ceremonies celebrating what school officials described as “the big class.” The Class of 2026 originally began with a record enrollment before eventually graduating 122 seniors. Serving as commencement speaker was Mary Rutan Health CEO Chad Ross, who is also an Indian Lake Board of Education member, Indian Lake Class of 1989 graduate, and parent of a 2026 graduate. Ross reflected on watching the students grow through both successes and challenges over the years. “It has been my sincere pleasure to see you grow up, to celebrate your many successes and to ache along with you when life has delivered that proverbial gut punch,” Ross told graduates. He encouraged students to embrace life’s opportunities and challenges moving forward. “Remember to be versatile, be persistent, work hard, be accountable for your actions or inaction, and don’t be afraid to step into the arena to take your turn at bat. And above all, don’t wait to live your life!” Class President Mara Bihn also addressed classmates, reflecting on the memories, hardships, and accomplishments shared throughout their years together at Indian Lake. “Once a Laker, always a Laker,” Bihn said. Following the ceremony, graduates celebrated by tossing their caps into the air before gathering with family and friends for photos and congratulations. Indian Lake Schools congratulated the Class of 2026 and wished graduates continued success in their future endeavors. Comments are closed.
