Hickory Medical to Host Urgent Blood Drive

Hickory Medical is calling on the community to step up and make a difference in the fight against cancer by donating blood at an upcoming blood drive. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM in the parking lot of Hickory Medical DPC, located at 1125 Rush Avenue, Bellefontaine, Ohio. 

The blood drive will be held on the donor bus, offering a convenient way for eligible donors to contribute to a lifesaving cause.

With a massive shortage of donors and 25% of cancer patients requiring blood or platelets at some point during their treatment, this blood drive is more important than ever. Hickory Medical is aiming to sign up at least 18 more donors to meet the urgent need.

Who Can Donate:

• Anyone over the age of 18 who meets the eligibility criteria.
  
  

By donating, you will be helping to provide the blood and platelets that cancer patients need during treatment. As a special thank you, participants who donate between September 30 and November 2 will receive a limited-edition "Fight Cancer" t-shirt (pictured above).
