BPA contests are designed to prepare students for leadership roles in the business world by challenging their abilities in real-world scenarios. Kearstin Linkinhoker, BLHS BPA Secretary stated, “I am glad that I competed to not only be with my friends, but also to do something that I enjoy doing. I learned new things that I will be able to use in my future. I am most proud of placing in the Top 10 for all four of my competitions!” "We are proud of our students for their dedication and hard work. They were able to demonstrate the skills they will need to be successful in any future career field they choose," said Mandi Wood, BPA advisor for BLHS. BLHS was represented on stage 48 times at the regional contests. Thirteen students qualified for the Ohio BPA State Leadership Conference, which will be held in Columbus in March. State qualifiers include: Hunter Andrix, Paityn Anspach, Elliott Butler, Lydia Johnson, Kearstin Linkinhoker, Kameron Lockwood, Carter Lyden, Elizabeth Rosebrook, Addison Scott, Caroline Spriggs, Keaten Varner, and Makayla Williamson. Business Professionals of America is a national organization focused on developing leadership, citizenship, and workplace skills among students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, and other professional fields.
