Congratulations to the January Senior of the Month, Kameron Lockwood, sponsored by 988 Lifeline and the Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol Services Board of Logan and Champaign Counties (MHDAS)!

Kameron is a senior at Benjamin Logan High School. Learn a little more about Kameron, his accomplishments  and future aspirations below!
NAME: Kameron Lockwood
SCHOOL: Benjamin Logan High School
PARENTS: Mike and Erika Lockwood
ADDRESS: West Liberty

School activities and awards: BPA, Quiz Bowl, and Robotics (FTC).

If I were principal for a day: Honestly, if I were principal for a day, I have no idea what I would do. To me, there aren't really any glaring issues I would think to fix, except maybe I'd try to give the Robotics club a little more funding.

Favorite school memory: My favorite school memory is a tough choice, but I think I'll have to go with the time when our robotics team qualified for the State Championship after a very close match in the 2023-2024 school year.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My Robotics coaches (Mrs. Kavanagh and Mr. Smith), my Quiz Bowl coach (Mr. Kettler), and my parents.

Lately, I have been reading: I have recently been reading the book "Santana" for my Spanish class, which I have been enjoying.

My advice to parents: Having a good, supportive relationship with your kids is key (environment as well), I would say. My parents have always supported and encouraged me in whatever I have chosen and I feel that that has really enabled me to do all of these things. Without that, the rest would certainly be harder.

My biggest regret: At the moment, I would say not taking Spanish sooner, as I absolutely love it, but I only started taking it as a sophomore.

Next year I will be: In college for Computer Science.
