Benjamin Logan Schools Celebrate Media Excellence: 2024 OSBA Media Honor Roll Selections

Benjamin Logan Schools proudly announce that April King (Peak of Ohio, V-Teck Communications) and Sharyn Kopf (Bellefontaine Examiner) have been selected for the 2024 Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Media Honor Roll. This recognition highlights their outstanding contributions to fair and balanced education reporting and their dedication to showcasing the successes and addressing the challenges of public education.

Since its inception in 2002, the OSBA Media Honor Roll program has celebrated media representatives in print, radio, and television who:

• Foster strong relationships with superintendents, board members, and district communication leaders while embracing the district's mission and goals.
• Consistently provide fair, accurate, and balanced reporting of school news.
• Emphasize positive achievements and stories about schools.
• Engage with schools through visits and firsthand coverage.
• Maintain transparent and open communication, ensuring school officials have opportunities to comment on reports.

Personalized certificates and a copy of the OSBA Journal Magazine will be presented to the honorees during the December 16, 2024 Board of Education meeting. Their work exemplifies the spirit of the OSBA Media Honor Roll, serving as a model for educational reporting.
