Benjamin Logan Middle School Raises Over $15,000 for Logan County Cancer Society at Rally for a Cure

Benjamin Logan Middle School students, staff, and community members came together in an inspiring show of compassion and unity during the school’s recent Rally for a Cure event, raising more than $15,000 to benefit the Logan County Cancer Society.

The event, organized by the BLMS Rally Committee, was a powerful example of 

what can be accomplished when a school community rallies behind a meaningful cause. With activities, fundraising, and a shared mission, the school fostered a day filled with energy, reflection, and purpose.

The day’s highlight was the Survivor Lap—a touching moment where students and staff honored local individuals who have battled cancer. The lap served as a reminder of the lives impacted by the disease and the importance of continued support for those facing it.

Students were not only participants but active contributors throughout the event. They learned firsthand how community action and teamwork can make a real difference in people’s lives, embodying the spirit of service and empathy.

“We’re incredibly proud of our students and grateful to our families, staff, and supporters,” the Rally Committee shared. “This event was about more than just raising money—it was about showing that we care, and that we can do something meaningful when we work together.”
