7th Grade: Benjamin Logan 14, Springfield Shawnee 20 The 7th-grade Raiders fought hard but ultimately fell short against Springfield Shawnee, with a final score of 20-14. The Raiders' offense was led by Nevada Coleman, who scored on an impressive touchdown run. Preston Mikes also contributed, catching a 25-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Luke Long. Despite their efforts, the team couldn't overcome Shawnee's lead. 8th Grade:
Benjamin Logan 44, Springfield Shawnee 14 The 8th-grade Raiders dominated their game, securing a 44-14 victory over Springfield Shawnee. With this win, the Raiders clinched their second consecutive CBC Mad River Division Championship, finishing the season with an impressive 7-1 record. Over their middle school careers, the team amassed a remarkable 14-2 record. The Raiders’ offensive line delivered a stellar performance, paving the way for an explosive offense. Quarterback Colton Little completed 8 of 12 passes for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rhett Newman led the rushing attack with 145 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Gabe Predmore added 103 receiving yards and a touchdown. Carrick Spriggs contributed 88 yards receiving and a touchdown, and Emerson Carpenter chipped in with 42 rushing yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Emerson Carpenter led the charge with 9 tackles, followed by Carrick Spriggs with 6. The defensive line put consistent pressure on Shawnee’s offense, and the secondary effectively disrupted multiple pass attempts, securing the team’s dominant performance.
