In addition to live jazz performances, attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including a silent auction featuring student artwork, a bake sale, a 50/50 drawing, and a BBQ-themed dinner. Dinner offerings will include pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, cheesy potatoes, coleslaw, and more.
There is no cost to attend the event; however, donations are encouraged. Proceeds from donations at the door, as well as the silent auction, bake sale, 50/50 drawing, and t-shirt sales, will benefit the Logan County Cancer Society. Donations from the dinner will support the Benjamin Logan Jazz Program. Members of the jazz ensembles will also be selling official Improvising A Cure t-shirts during the event. “This event is truly one of the highlights of the year for our Music Department,” organizers shared. “It’s a special opportunity for our students to use their talents to make a meaningful impact in our community.” The public is invited to attend and enjoy an evening of great music, food, and community connection in a relaxed, informal setting.
