In remembrance of the events of 9/11, the Benjamin Logan community dedicated the month of September to honor the heroism of its first responders. These individuals demonstrated exceptional bravery, compassion, and commitment, protecting the community through both challenging and triumphant times. Their dedication has been essential in keeping the nation and community safe and strong.
Benjamin Logan Schools and the local community expressed their gratitude to various first responder units, including local fire departments, EMS, and law enforcement agencies. The event featured the Presentation of Colors by the Harold Kerr American Legion Post #173 Color Guard, with the flag being raised by members Blue Jacket post 599 of Zanesfield. A performance of the National Anthem by the Benjamin Logan Marching Band and a special rendition of "God Bless the USA" by Paxton Henry followed.
