participants. Their works were among the 138 pieces selected from a competitive field of 200 submissions spanning nine OAEA regions. The students’ art, which includes drawings, paintings, sculptures, and more, stood out for its creativity and excellence, earning them spots in this highly regarded exhibition. The exhibition is currently being held at the Columbus College of Art and Design and will run from June 17 to June 28. It represents a wide range of artistic disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture, crafts, computer art, photography, and printing.
Sally Stolly, Benjamin Logan's Director of Administrative Services, praised the students and their art teacher, Mrs. Davis, for their outstanding achievements. "We are extremely proud of these talented students and appreciate Mrs. Davis for fostering an environment that encourages creative thinking and skillful execution," she remarked. To further honor these young artists, a special reception is planned on June 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the exhibition venue. The reception will feature the awarding of certificates, prizes, and special rewards for outstanding works in various categories. The Emerging Artist Exhibition serves not only as a showcase for student art but also as a catalyst for encouraging young artists to continue developing their skills. Through this exhibition, the OAEA reaffirms its commitment to promoting art education and celebrating the rich artistic talents emerging throughout Ohio. Not receiving our content regularly?
