Benjamin Logan FFA Members Attend 97th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis

Benjamin Logan FFA members traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, from October 23-25 to attend the 97th National FFA Convention. The trip included activities focused on leadership, teamwork, and hands-on agricultural experiences.

The Benjamin Logan FFA members joined Indian Lake FFA members for the journey. On their way to Indianapolis, they stopped at Shaffer’s Goldrush, a renowned boar stud farm, where they learned about the latest advancements in swine genetics and management. The group also visited Beasley’s Orchard, where they enjoyed apple cannon activities, hayrides, a straw bale playground, and a corn maze.

Wednesday evening, they attended a concert featuring Megan Moroney with special guest Nate Smith, which provided a fun evening of music and camaraderie.

Thursday morning, the FFA members attended the convention’s opening session and then participated in a community service project at Robin Run Senior Living. Working outdoors, they helped clear invasive plants, hauling debris to keep the wooded area safe and beautiful. They capped the day with dinner at the iconic Old Spaghetti Factory.

​On Friday, the group attended the convention’s fourth session before heading home. Reflecting on his experience, member Micah Ackley said, “The National Convention was a great time because I got to leave the state of Ohio.” The trip was packed with memorable experiences and opportunities for growth.
