During the event, Roth explained key concepts in water quality, the impact of fish habitats, and the importance of managing vegetation and algal blooms to create a balanced ecosystem. Students participated in a collaborative activity, forming small groups to design and present their own unique fish species based on assigned characteristics such as body size, mouth type, and reproductive traits.
