Benjamin Logan Elementary Raises $13,500 for American Heart Association Through Kids Heart Challenge4/14/2025
who engaged students in learning how the heart works and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Through hands-on activities, students explored how to raise and lower their heart rates, measure their pulses, and learn fascinating heart facts—from the tiniest hearts only visible under a microscope to those large enough to swim in.
Students also had the opportunity to handle real heart models and listen to stories about how the American Heart Association has made a difference in their school and community. This year’s campaign saw 111 students register, with 25 students completing Finn’s Mission—a program that encourages heart-healthy goals—and 32 families participating in Hands-Only CPR training. A total of 18 students raised $250 or more, earning special recognition:
Benjamin Logan Elementary expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic support from students, families, and the broader community.
