The Benjamin Logan School Board met for the final time in 2025, marking a moment of reflection, recognition, and routine district business.

Board Recognition
The Board bid farewell to longtime board member and educator Karen Dill. Dill taught at Benjamin Logan from 1982 until her retirement in 2012 and has served two terms on the Board of Education. Superintendent John Scheu presented Dill with a wooden cutting board engraved with her years of service to the district. Dill shared, “I hope the District is in better shape now than when I started.”
Presentations
Representatives from Logan County Electric Cooperative presented the district with a capital credit rebate check totaling $11,837.44, reflecting a dividend based on the district’s electricity usage.

Administrative Reports
In his report, Superintendent John Scheu recognized Myles Bowers for being selected to perform in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. Bowers, who has been with the district for 15 years, was one of 300 music educators nationwide selected for this honor.

Colleen Bodin, Special Education Director, provided an administrative update to the Board.
District Treasurer and CFO Leah Baker reported that expenses are trending as expected to date. She noted that January is a three-pay month, which will result in a temporary increase in expenditures. Baker also reminded the Board that the Permanent Improvement Loan has been paid in full, resulting in significant interest savings for the district.

The Board approved the November 2025 Finance Report, bank reconciliation and financial reports for November 2025, and payment of all November bills, confirming they were for a proper public purpose.
