Ben Logan MS Volleyball Teams Secure Wins Over Shawnee

The Benjamin Logan 7th and 8th-grade volleyball teams delivered commanding victories against Springfield Shawnee, each winning in straight sets.

7th Grade Recap: The 7th-grade team dominated the court, winning in two sets with scores of 25-9 and 25-6. Michaelee Hoge led the Raiders offensively, racking up 9 aces and 3 kills. Della Baker contributed significantly with 8 aces, while Maci Stafford added 4 aces and Molly Titlow chipped in with 3 aces. Mica Coaty, Amelia Marmon, and Mileigh Carroll each added a kill, rounding out the team's well-rounded performance.

8th Grade Recap: The 8th-grade team continued the winning momentum, securing their victory over Shawnee in two sets, 25-16 and 25-11. Maddie Stahl served up 8 points, including 4 aces. Summer Cline showcased her offensive prowess with 14 kills and 2 aces. Brielle Kline and Marley Shields each tallied 5 kills, while Shields also served 6 points. Alivia James contributed 9 points with 2 aces. The 8th-grade team will look to carry this energy into their next matchup as they face Bellefontaine on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the first round of the CBC tournament.
