Ben Logan Golfers Complete Busy Week

​The Benjamin Logan Raiders Boys Golf team participated in three events this past week.

Raider Senior Caleb Knight led the Raiders with a 48 vs. Shawnee.

Monday, September 16, 2024
The Raiders wrapped up their regular season at Reid Park, falling to Springfield Shawnee 162 to 222. Caleb Knight led the Raiders, shooting a 48 and scoring 3 points. Justin Elliot followed with a 55, scoring 1 point. Matthew Cox shot a 58, Ivan King a 61, Drake Newland a 62, and Utah Coleman a 66 to round out the scoring. The Raiders finished their regular season with a 1-9 record in Mad River division play.

The Raiders returned to Reid Park Golf Course to compete in the D2 Southwest Sectional Tournament, finishing with a team score of 431. Justin Elliot and Ivan King each shot a 97 to pace the team. Matthew Cox posted a 112, Utah Coleman a 125, and Drake Newland a 128. The Raiders placed 15th out of 17 teams.

Friday, September 20, 2024
The Raiders competed in the CBC Championships at The Elks Golf Course in Springfield, finishing 5th out of 6 teams in the Mad River Division with a team score of 408. Caleb Knight led the Raiders with a 92, earning him 2nd Team All-League honors. Justin Elliot shot a 96, Ivan King a 108, Matthew Cox a 112, and Utah Coleman and Drake Newland each scored a 124. Ivan King also received the Sportsmanship Award, representing Benjamin Logan.

The Raiders will conclude their season on Monday, September 23, with a match against Bellefontaine at Liberty Hills.
