Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Technology Director Inducted into Marion Technical College Alumni Hall of Fame

​John Case, Ohio Hi-Point's director of technology, has been honored as an inductee into the Marion Technical College Alumni Hall of Fame.
 
The induction ceremony took place on Thursday, November 21 at Marion Technical College where five outstanding alumni were recognized for their achievements. 
 
“This impact of this institution doesn’t stop. We are punching above our weight,” said Dr. Ryan McCall, president of Marion Tech, said, “That is true for each of these alumni.” 
​Case, a class of 2004 Marion Technical graduate, has been with Ohio Hi-Point for 25 years and has helped create statewide standards for the ethical use of AI in public schools from kindergarten to 12th grade. His dedication to fostering a digitally safe and innovative learning environment for students has made a lasting impact on Ohio Hi-Point and beyond.

On Saturday, November 23rd at 10 AM, join us in front of the Courthouse Fountain for the ribbon cutting of the downtown Santa Shed, presented by the Downtown Bellefontaine Partnership! This beloved holiday tradition kicks off the Christmas season with hot chocolate, cookies, and plenty of festive cheer. ❄
Located in the heart of Downtown Bellefontaine, the Santa Shed will host Santa and his elves every weekend, ready to make magical holiday memories. Bring your family for free photos and a chance to share your holiday wishes with the man himself! 

📅 Santa Shed Schedule:
November 23 through December 22nd 
Saturdays: 1 PM – 4 PM (Dec 7: 2-4 PM)
Sundays: 2 PM – 4 PM
Friday, December 13 & 20: 5:30p-7:30p

Universal Home Health & Hospice Care Hosts Annual Memorial Service
Universal Home Health & Hospice Care recently held its annual Hospice Memorial Service at Bellefontaine First Christian Church, bringing comfort and remembrance to families and friends of loved ones who have passed.
In collaboration with three of Logan County’s funeral directors, the ceremony included heartfelt readings of names and poems. For each name read, Universal’s staff lit a candle in the individual’s memory, symbolizing the enduring light their lives brought to others.
Adding to the evening’s warmth, the Grace Notes provided beautiful music that resonated with attendees.

Lady Raiders Open Bowling Season with Victory Over Jonathan Alder

The Lady Raiders pulled out a win in the first match of the season against Jonathan Alder 2,268 to 2,249.  Leading for the Raiders was Aubrey Zedlitz with games of 218/181 for a 399 series.  Kaelyn Corwin rolled great games of 193/162 for a 355 series. Maddy Hamm added a 171 game.
JV Lady Raiders came out on top of Jonathan Alder 1,636 to 1,312.  Jacey Koehler led with games of 171/133 for a 304 series.  Gi Saunders rolled games of 137/147 for a 284 series. Kaydon Wilber chipped in a 152 game.

Lady Raiders are back in action on Tuesday, November 26th at Jonathan Alder for a 4:00pm start time.

Ohio Hi-Point’s application for the 2024-25 school year is now open! High school sophomores and juniors are eligible to apply. 
 
At Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, students find hands-on learning in hi-tech labs, strong academics that blend with their career program, and a commitment to their success that stretches far beyond graduation.
The career programs on Ohio Hi-Point’s Bellefontaine Campus provide real-world learning with a hands-on approach. High school students can earn valuable industry credentials, putting them ahead of the career game, as well as earn college credit for their coursework, making college more affordable for today's families.

The Benjamin Logan Boys Varsity Bowling kicked off the 24-25 season with a loss to Jonathan Alder at home.  Total pinfall:  Ben Logan – 2771 to Jonathan Alder - 2820.
 
Leading the Raiders was Jarrett Buckenroth – 466 series (245, 221), Nate Davis – 427 series (214, 213), Landon Stoodt – 391 series (209, 182), Dylan Stewart – 385 series (171, 214) and Caleb Knight – 346 series (190, 156).
In the Varsity Baker Games, Ben Logan split with Jonathan Alder.
 
Ben Logan Varsity Boys Bowling team is 0-1 in the CBC.

​Rise FM is thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter in its ministry. After much prayer, reflection, and collaboration, Rise FM will merge with River Radio Ministries (RRM), the organization behind 104.9 The River in Columbus and 104.5 The River in Wooster, effective Friday, November 29, 2024. This merger is poised to significantly enhance the reach and impact of both ministries, bringing hope and encouragement to even more communities across Ohio.
The decision to merge stems from a shared vision: to do more together for God’s Kingdom. Mark Boyer, Founder and General Manager of Rise FM, explained, “This journey began in September 2023 when I felt led to ask a simple question: Are we better together?
