​The historic season continues for Bellefontaine girls tennis standouts Mia Brown and Rylee Crabtree.

The freshman doubles team breezed through the sectional tournament in Troy on Monday to advance to the district tournament.
​

The last time the Lady Chiefs advanced players to the district tournament was in 1993 when Emily Ellis and Molli Munz finished in 3rd place at the sectional level.

2025 Bellefontaine Homecoming Queen & King Haidyn Bruce and Kaiden Foulk
​Bellefontaine High School held its homecoming dance Saturday night.

Kaiden Foulk was crowned the king.

Haidyn Bruce was named the queen on Friday night before the football game.

The court included queen candidates Belen Abrego and Chloe Stolly, junior attendant Gracie Wickham, sophomore attendant Amari Hunsicker, freshman attendant Holland Hower, and king candidates Carter Caudill and Jared Young.
The dance was held in the BHS Cafeteria.

It’s the largest dance of the school year.

Honda Manufacturing Day
Every October, Manufacturing Month highlights the opportunities within one of America’s most vital industries. This year, Honda kicked off the celebration early by welcoming students from across Central Ohio, including 33 juniors and seniors from Worthington City Schools to its Marysville Automotive facility.​
​The day offered more than a tour; it opened minds to the many pathways available after high school and demonstrated how innovation, teamwork, and career potential come together on the manufacturing floor.

Community Invited to “Responding to Addiction” Workshop October 20 in Bellefontaine

The community is invited to take part in a powerful learning opportunity that aims to reduce stigma and build support for individuals facing substance use disorders. The Responding to Addiction Workshop will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, 215 E. Sandusky Avenue, Bellefontaine.
Developed by the Addiction Policy Forum, this free, 1.5-hour training equips participants with the knowledge and tools to better understand addiction, respond effectively, and support recovery efforts.

Workshop Topics
  • Signs and symptoms of addiction
  • Evidence-based treatment options
  • Medications available to treat addiction
  • Recovery support and relapse prevention
  • How to start the conversation with someone in need of support
  • Engagement strategies

Who Should Attend?
The workshop is designed for health care providers, clergy, law enforcement, first responders, corrections professionals, employers, educators, child welfare workers, community-based service providers, and any community member who wants to better understand addiction and be part of the solution
.
Program Impact
Evaluations conducted by the University of Delaware found that the Responding to Addiction program:
  • Increased knowledge about addiction across all participants.
  • Significantly reduced stigma, particularly among those with limited prior knowledge.
  • Boosted confidence in responding to substance use disorders, including helping loved ones engage in treatment and recovery
