​Benjamin Logan Middle School and Benjamin Logan High School are honored to invite cancer survivors and fighters to take part in two special events recognizing courage, strength, hope, and the impact cancer has on individuals and families throughout the Raider community.

Benjamin Logan Middle School will host its Rally for a Cure Honor Walk on Thursday, May 7, at 8:30 a.m. This year’s BLMS theme is “Rock and Roll: Rally for a Cure.”  Cancer survivors and fighters 

Members of the Indian Lake High School Quiz Bowl Team recently traveled to Chicago to compete in the NAQT Small School National Finals, gaining valuable competition experience while representing their school on a national stage.

The Lakers competed against top small-school teams from across the country, finishing 3-7 in preliminary rounds on 

Benjamin Logan High School students recently demonstrated their artistic talent at the 2026 Congressional Art Competition, held at the Warren G. Harding Presidential Sites in Marion, Ohio.

The annual competition, hosted by Congressman Jim Jordan’s office, recognizes outstanding high school artists from across Ohio’s 4th Congressional District.

Logan County Job & Family Services has officially moved to a new location in Bellefontaine, marking a transition aimed at continuing service to the community in a new space.

The agency is now located at:
1851 State Route 47 West, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311

As of the morning of the move, services are no longer being provided at the previous Hunter Place location. Officials noted that the front desk at the new facility was expected to reopen around midday yesterday as staff completed the transition.

Bellefontaine City Schools Board of Education members addressed long-term financial planning, recognized outstanding individuals, and approved several personnel items during their monthly meeting Monday night at the high school Sloan Distance Learning Center.

Benjamin Logan High School is inviting the community to experience the creativity and talent of its students during the upcoming BLHS Art Show, set to take place in the high school commons.

The event will showcase a wide range of student artwork, including pieces featured in the Logan County Fine Art Festival, offering visitors a chance to explore the artistic achievements of Benjamin Logan students.

The Art Show will be open to the public on the following dates and times:

• Tuesday, May 5: 3:15–8:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, May 6: 3:15–6:00 p.m.
• Thursday, May 7: 3:15–8:00 p.m. (featuring guest artist Duarte Brown)
• Friday, May 8: 3:15–6:00 p.m. 

Students in grades 8 through graduating seniors will have the opportunity to explore future career paths this summer through the Helping Careers Academy, a free program hosted by PASS (Prevention Awareness Support Services) in Bellefontaine.

The program is designed to introduce students to a variety of career options while building essential life and workplace skills. Participants will gain hands-on experience in areas such as job searching, resume building, interview preparation, and financial literacy, along with opportunities to learn directly from professionals in different fields.
